Summer Start

friendships that will last a lifetime! Don't miss it!"
Summer Start is a unique optional program offered to introduce
students to college life at UMC. It is also designed to
help you establish new friendships, introduce you to UMC
faculty, staff and student leaders, and guide you in acquiring
the skills you need to be successful in college.

Students register for Computer Applications
(CA) 1010. Introduction to Computer Technology, a one credit
introduction to technology course that is required for all
new students. In addition to receiving academic credit,
students live in campus residence halls and participate
in outside social programs to help make the transition to
college a little easier.

Cost to Attend Summer Start
Tuition for the
one credit course will be assessed on your fall semester
account statement. An additional fee of $250 for room
and board will be charged to participating students
prior to arrival in August. This additional fee includes
the cost ofyour room linens, soaps, towels, and shampoo,
11 meals on and off campus, and several evening activities. |
